Hairy cell leukemia (HCL) is a rare type of blood cancer – there are approximately 1,000 new cases of HCL every year in the US. The exact cause of hairy cell leukemia is not known, but it affects males four times more often than females.

This video education program for families facing a diagnosis of HCL features a slide presentation, helpful resources, and a discussion between some of the nation’s top experts and families with personal experience. Join to learn more about:

  • How HCL affects one’s health and quality of life
  • How to advocate for your personal goals and preferences when selecting a treatment
  • The benefits of engaging with support groups
